The Institute of Criminology and Penology,(ICP)Nigeria is an educational and professional institute established to promote wide research and expertise in the areas of criminology,penology and their many sub-disciplines across Nigeria;directed at professionalization of Criminology and Penology practice in this part of theworld,to align with globalpractice. Institute of Criminology and Penology is an independent,non-political,non-religiousand non profit making body,governed by a Governing Council ofexperts and professionals in the field ofcriminology,penology,law enforcement,forensic pathology etc.It is approved by the Federal Ministry of Education,Guaranteed by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Incorporated by Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC-RC919290) on 10th November, 2010.

To organize forums for professional criminologists and penologists for the exchange of ideas
